Swap a PXI-8423 for a PXI-8431 (serial port cards)

Can a PXI-8431 (DMA, high performance) be put in place of a PXI-8423 (IRQ, standard performance) without any settings / software changes? I mainly concerned about the DMA, that there's a checkbox hidden somewhere to allow DMA transfer. (?)

You should be able to swap them without any configuration changes.  The DMA and IRQ transfers are handled by the driver.  Have a great evening.

Great. MAX recognized the card instantly and the instrument works as if no card swapping took place.
