Synchronize a PXI-6713 with NI-5660

I'm trying to synchronize a data capture using a NI-5660 with the positive edge of a square wave that's being generated with counter0 in a PXI-6713 unit.  I've tried to utilize a few Developer Zone articles about sending a signal onto the RTSI bus but haven't had any luck.  I've attempted to route the trigger line in MAX using the Triggers panel for the chassis as well as using the DAQmx Connect/Disconnect VI's alongside the DAQmx Export Signal VI.

Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Can you tell us which PXI chassis you are using and which RTSI bus you are trying to route?

I'm trying to route RTSI 1 on a PXI-1045 chassis from the 6713 to the 5660.

Here's the VI I've been testing out to do this.  It's mainly a "scratchpad" VI so it's been in various states.  Depending on the way the error lines are connected around the NI-Scope Trigger VI the Acquisition Done VI will continue to output a 0 or it outputs a 1 but then there appears to be a timeout at the Fetch IQ VI.

Thanks.

HI,

before I look into the vi, can u tell me on which slots are the PXI 6713 and 5660 are placed?

If you have placed one card at the begining of the chassis and other at the end, then you may have trigger bus routing problem, since the PXI 1045 chassis have 3 bus segment in it.

If this is the case you may look into this thread which will resolve your problem.

also look into the manual of PXI 1045

Hope this helps

Hello,

Is your end goal to synchronize two 5660s?  Or are you just interesting in synchronizing the counter task from a 6713 as the trigger line for the 5660's 6520 (scope)?  Please layout the big picture of your application with further detail so I can make the best recommendation.
