TCP open connection

Hi, i want to learn TCP in labview to send data another computer.

when i see some examples "tcp open connection" icon has pink wire on the right down, but when i put that icon from palette i can not see any pink output.

why there should be string output and how can i do that?

thanks

You should post an image of what wire you are talking about.

I assume that you have an outdated tutorial where the screenshots have been made with LV 7.1.1 or older. Those versions had the error wire in magenta, which is very similar to the one used for strings.... So nowadays, the wire should loop like the error cluster.

hope this helps,

Norbert

Hi there kimse,

What LabVIEW-version are you using ? The output you are referring to is probably the error cluster. I think in the older versions the wire color for the error clusters used to be pink(ish), but nowadays they have changed that to something completely different.

If the wire you are talking about in the tutorial is the one connecting the bottom of the tcp icons it is the error cluster as previous posters guessed. The new error cluster has a different color wire.
