Hello!
I have read a post (see link below), and I thought I give it a try to this TDMS defragmentation, to shrink some of my data files. To my surprise, I get an about 20X larger file as a result of the defrag process (original file is about 10 Mb, after defrag ~200 Mb). Could someone explain why this happens?
I attach my test TDMS file, and the VI which is described here (available via the Examples from LV2015 and higher): https://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/Defrag-TDMS-File-With-Progress/td-p/2954017

Okj, it is abvious I did not sleep last night at all 😞
The vi creates an example file, and defrags it :DDDD
ps.: i modify a moderator to remove this post, this just creates noise 😉

Before they decide to remove (or not) the post, just to mention, i get a nice factor of 10 decrease in size for my TDMS files coming from a particular project 🙂
(of course, first deleted that TDMS creation code part 😄 )

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does stuff like that. 😉
