TPC-2230 Does Not Boot

I have a 15 inch TPC-2230 that has been in service for years and after a reboot will not start anymore. When powered on the power light goes bright orange then dim blue and remains blue. Nothing ever displays on the screen.

Some Windows updates may have been installed prior to reboot by a user but I am unsure if that had anything to do with it.

Any ideas?

This does not sound like a LabVIEW problem.

(Maybe a hardware forum? Once you decide on a suitable place, you can ask a moderator to move your question)

Since it is in essence a PC device, my fairly educated guess is that the CMOS battery might have died. Most modern PCs are able to startup with a dead CMOS battery, although will keep resetting to default BIOS settings each time but older models often got corrupt CMOS settings that prevent them from starting up. Those CMOS batteries have typically a life expectancy of 10 years. I’m however not sure the TPCs are self serviceable.

At least there won’t be any void warranty anymore if you try to open them yourself.

Hi,

We have the same problem on several screens, have you found the solution to this black screen?

Thanks for your help.
