Tablet control of PC with LabVIEW

I'd like a LabVIEW GUI on a Tablet to control a large flat-panel display. i.e. a visitor presses a few buttons on a tablet, and the PC/monitor displays the corresponding visuals (powerpoint, video etc). As far as I can see there aren't many options.

Does the NI Data Dashboard support datasockets? Or provide cursor coordinates?

All suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Hi GerdW,

That would be ideal, but I'm trying to keep costs down. Yet to find a low cost Windows tablet. So trying to find compromises with Android.

Looking at the budget Windows tablets, is it safe to assume they can cope with LabVIEW?

The real question is can they cope with your application.

At a previous company, we used Surface Pros to run a web GUI to setup a bunch of cRIOs.  That still required the LabVIEW RunTime Engine, and that was just fine on those tablets.

For info. I bought a Fusion 5 Windows 10 tablet for £130 (US$164), it can cope with LabVIEW 2018 and all the usual connectivity functions.
