Is a corrupted install CD a known problem?
I have some troubles downloading the latest driver (nearly 1GB-yikes!) from NI using AFRL's network here at Kirtland AFB(this particular download appears to be coming from a blocked location). I may have to use up my home network data package bandwidth on this one--goodbye netflix for a while?
Also, the default standard uninstall/install/upgrade process has become EXTREMELY lengthly for a simple card driver. The embedded controller is a bit slower than some other computers, so it literally will tie me up for hours and hours if not days just to try this.
So, is this known to be a problem?

There is no known issue about a corrupted installation file distributed by NI. However, I have seen rare cases where moving installation files around (such as putting them on a USB Flash drive)can corrupt the files slightly.
Another problem to look for, before trying to download any drivers is the MAX Database Corruption. The following Knowledge Base explains how to address this problem:
