So, basically, you believe that GTA 5 could have been written in LabVIEW? 😉
People who gets confortable with a tool, naturally tends to solve everything with that tool. This anti-pattern has a name and it is called the Golden Hammer.
Look at this index: http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html
There is a lot of languages that shine for different tasks. Every language has pros and cons. People who can't see that, probably try to fix everything in their house with the same tool 😜

You are right maybe if the developers of GTA 5 weren't so comfortable with their tools they would write it in LabVIEW.
Of course you wouldn't write GTA 5 in LabVIEW, you also wouldn't write a partical accelerator control program in PHP.

stha,
I will forward this Gloden Hammer to my friends who think LabVIEW is not a good enough tool and they will stuck on their old methods regardless whatever issues they face. ( I also use C for embeeded programming )
I do not intend to use this thread for ages old discussion of comaprison between LabVIEW and other Languages.

It created a world of developers who barely understand software structures, so they create a spaghetti bowl of a code that other people need to go through and clean up after they’ve been fired.
It’s the auto tune of the programming world.

You aren't on many forums then are you? That is just human nature. Besides, Jeff was just pointing out that you are not alone; that this exact saying has been done before. Don't take such offense. Your previous comment made me laugh because I learned LabVIEW during the period where NI marketed LabVIEW exactly in that way. I have since been told by a high up in NI Marketing that nobody in NI should be stating that "LabVIEW is easy".

NI used the synonym "everyone" for the words "cave man" back in those days........

And recent epidemiological studies have proved them more correct than even they thought .
