Time sync of PCI-1588 with PTP

Hi,

I need to time sync my PCI 1588 card as a slave using PTP.

I know that the PCI-1588 card is receiving PTPv2 packets as I verified this with a Wireshark network capture on the interface.

I have set the priority less than the master but my 1588 card always wants to act as the master after.

Please give me any information on how I can get the PCI 1588 to act as a slave and time sync from my Tekron clock source. (see images attached).

Hello Mitch,

To my knowledge, there is not a way to override the algorithm that chooses the most accurate clock to make the Master. In LabVIEW, there is a property node that may set the priority given a tie between the two clock sources.
