To Control Scale and Position of Signals on the Display of an Oscilloscope and More

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi All,

I have connected a Tektronix DPO 4054 Oscilloscope to a laptop with LabVIEW 2016 installed. My current goals are to setup/control the oscilloscope and acquire signals.

With the Configure VIs included in the instrument driver, I was able to control the channels, acquisition (mode), time base and triggers. However, I did not know what VI would allow me to manipulate the scale and position of the waveform on the oscilloscope's display (i.e., instead of manually turning the knobs on the oscilloscope, I want to click push buttons or use numeric control in a LabVIEW program).

Here is a screenshot of most of the VIs in the instrument driver:

(If there is such a VI, I'm guessing it's under the configure palette.)

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I am checking back the thread next Monday. Hope everyone have a great weekend!

The Configure Channel VI (second on the Configure panel as you've displayed) has inputs for Vertical Range and Vertical Offset. If you want instead to move horizontally, you need the Configure Timebase VI (#6 on your screenshot)
