Tools not viewing/functioning correctly

I recently had to move Labview 6i to a different machine & now the tools don't view/function correctly. When tabbing through the tools palette, the wiring tool will show up as a crosshair. Or when pointing at a sequence screen selector, I get a wiring tool instead of an arrow, etc. Usually, but not always, the tool will function as it should even when it is being displayed incorrectly. But it is slowing me down a great deal. This machine & the old one are both running Windows NT, service pack 6. I have reinstalled Labview twice, to no avail.

Try reinstalling NT. This sounds like it may be a system problem.

If in doubt, however, submit a request to NI support. They should be able to answer this one.

I had this trouble before on NTsp4, but it went away after I uninstalled.

Also, have the system checked for other issues, such as hard failures, viruses, etc.

The most occurring problem is a "bad" video driver for your system. Try to update to a new video driver on that system and check again.
