Traditional NI-DAQ vi's unfound in NI-DAQmx

Solved!

Hello. We are hoping to control a detector via NI PCI-6533 (DIO-32HS). Our colleagues have implemented the control programs in LV 7.1 with Traditional NI-DAQ 7.3. Now when we opened their programs on a PC installed with LV 8.6 and NI-DAQmx 8.9,  many vi's were not located, including "DIO config.vi", "DIO wait.vi", "DIO clear.vi", "DIO read.vi", "Device reset.vi", etc. We realized that they were supposed to be from vi.lib\daq\digital.llb and  some other .llb in the same folder. Apparently vi.llb\daq was installed by the traditional DAQ.

We don't think there is traditional DAQ compatible with LV 8.6, which means we may need to replace those "DIO *.vi" or "Device reset.vi" with their counterparts in DAQmx.  Could anyone throw some light on how we should start working on this ?

Thank you very much.

The only thing you failed to do was install the traditional DAQ driver. It does come with the LabVIEW distribution but is not installed by default.

Xiaolan,

There is indeed a Traditional DAQ driver for LV 8.6. The install can be found here.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing that out and providing the link, Dennis and Aaron. Just what we need.
