Trigger a menu item, eg for autosave?

Given the somewhat ludicrous absence of an Autosave feature in Labview, I was wondering if it's possible to start my vi by triggering the "Save All" item from the File menu. (probably with a "Do you want to...?" dialog first.

If I had an hour for every hour of work I've lost because of the lack of autosave, I could have a couple of months off, I reckon...

I'm using LV6.1

Any ideas?
