Triggering an event from multiple tabs?

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi guys, first post so please be gentle! I'm trying to do something which I believe should be simple, but I can't find the answer anywhere. Basically, I want to be able to trigger an event in an Event Case from different tabs in a tab-based UI. For example, I want to have a "Configure DUT" button on two tabs, but only one event case should be needed. I guess an obvious way to do it would be to have common controls outside the Tab section, but I'd prefer each tab to be self-contained so I can lay out controls in a better manner depending on the task in question.

In the edit events dialog, you have an 'Add Event' button with a blue + sign. Use this to register for more than one event.

Thanks F. Schubert, I knew it had to be something really simple.
