Hi Everyone,
I am trying to connect USB 6211 to my computer using USB 2.0 Extender Over Cat5 (From TRIPP-LITE). However, it is not recognising the device. Everytime I try to connect,it says, the 'USB frmware loader' failed to install properly. The hub by itself works when I connect usb memory stick to it. I have Daqmx 9.5.5 installed on the computer.
Has anyone faced any similar issue? I would really appreciate any help in this regard.
Thanks!

Hello odessy27,
Will your computer recognize the device without the extender? Make sure it is working properly before trying to extend its range.
At this time, I do not believe there is a recommended USB conversion or extension device. It is possible the device you are trying to use is simply incompatible with the NI USB-6211 I found quite a few threads on the forums expressing difficulties in similar situations. Here are a few of the more useful ones:
https://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/USB-extension-cable-too-much/td-p/768444
One thread in particular mentioned this product had worked for them in the past: http://www.digi.com/products/usb/anywhereusb
What are you trying to accomplish with your USB converter? Are you simply trying to extend the cord of your USB device, or do you wish to network the device in some manner?
