Try to use SSC. Want to update the Mastercopy without overwriting local copy.

Try to use SSC in a small team. Can not find a way to update the Mastercopy without overwriting local copy. We use LV also at home. Then it is heavy to update mastercopy back in office. And we don't know which VIs we want to change at home (check out before). Try to change the check out.vi, but it is password protected.

Thanks

Hi Thomas,

i think you use built-in provider shipped with LabVIEW. The built-in system supports two methods:
1. Using file permission
2. Using internal locking
If you´re working in a small team i think you use the second method.
Please correct me but i think your described behaviour is expected, because you have to know which vi you want to modify. Therefore you have to check out your Vi from Master directory before modifiying.

Hope it helps

Thank you for the tip. That´s an easy solution.
