Trying to display histogram to look out for peaks but I am unable to do so.

Hello
Thanks a lot for the help. Yes, as you have interpreted my data is in a 2D format with its first column linear. My original waveform is an optical signal that is plotted as intensity v/s wavelength. I want to use this as the input to LabVIEW and plot the histogram of this signal. I dont want a complex histogram just a simple histogram is enough.

This example has an input signal, whose histogram needs to be computed. Maybe it can look something like the noise whose histogram has been plotted in Running Histogram.vi example provided in Search Examples. For the parameters of the histogram it would be intensity v/s bin_width and since the wavelength (x-axis) ranges from 490 to 890 nm which is 400 nm dif
ference it would be suitable to have 32 bins i.e. a bin every 12.5 nm.

You are free to make any changes to the above. Please help me,

Regards

Attached is another attempt at a histogram. Wired before I read your latest reply. I doubt it is what you are looking for but maybe something to build on.

Hello
Thanks for the effort though it is not like the one I have drawn it on paper with the parameters I mentioned in my reply. But that was because you wired the ciruit before you recieved my reply. Waiting for you reply.

I cannot understand when a simple histogram which was plotted by using normal statistical methods on a paper why cannot be used the same way in LabVIEW. Either I guess I have a wiring problem or a conceptual error at some point.

Hoping you could be able to solve it.

Ok I have tried again. I created some Simulated Data and when I run it through this version it looks like a histogram plot to me. Try this out and let me know. I'm no statistician and not close to being a LabView expert, but figure if I can help someone then I can learn something in the process.

Hello
Thanks for the reply. This chart is surely giving out some information. I am trying to understand what the x and y axis indicate in the lower chart. Other than that I guess I shall try to work on it now.

Thanks for the help.
