You've got it-the time constant of the sensor is relatively long at 450 s, but the current source I was using was AC coupled as well, so the signal was decaying at a more rapid rate due to that. The Dytran rep I spoke with said it should be fine for quasi-static measurements if powered by a DC coupled current source, so I'm trying to locate one to confirm.
