USB-6356 Labview Analog Reading

Hello. I want to make an analog measurement with the USB-6356 card I have. I can select “Differential” in the Terminal Configuration option on the Labview screen, but I cannot select “NRSE” or “RSE”. Is there no such feature on this data acquisition card?

Hi NRS or RSE are ways to connect the wires and are used when NON DIFFERENTIAL mode.

If you want to use Differential, you don't use RSE or NRSE.

Thank you very much for the answer LVNinja. However, I want to measure my measurement as “non differential”, that is, “NRSE or RSE”. That is, one end of the cable will be GND and the other will be the voltage value I will measure.

According to the specs, there are only 8 differential channels. Your device does not seem to have access to RSE, NRSE configurations.

You can still do that.  Just connect all the (-) inputs for all channels together and connect them to your ground for RSE.  If you want NRSE, just connect all the (-) inputs to whatever your "return" (AI Sense) connection is.  How to choose will depend on the way your instruments are wired.  RSE may induce noise through a ground loop if the instruments you're reading are grounded differently (or floating) than your DAQ.
