I am connected to my cRIO-9035 using an Ethernet cable. After a reboot, the IP address suddenly switched to Static mode with an incorrect value. I’m trying to change the IP address back to the correct one, but I can’t modify it in NI MAX or restore the proper network settings. How can I fix this issue and change the static IP on my cRIO-9035?

Are you on the same subnet as the cRIO? I don't think it will let you update those settings unless you are.
Alternatively (I think), if you hold down the reset button for 5 seconds that should put the cRIO into safe mode which resets the network adapters to their default settings which might put the cRIO on the same subnet easier than messing with your PC's adapter settings.

Yesterday, even after rebooting the cRIO, the incorrect IP address wouldn't change. But the next day, when I reconnected the cRIO, the address had changed on its own. So the problem is resolved now — thank you!

I’m getting this error message, even though my cRIO appears correctly in NI MAX. I was also able to add the cRIO to my LabVIEW project, so the computer is clearly detecting it. Does anyone know why this error still occurs or what could be causing it?

Hi joelle,
is the IP address configured in your project the very same that the cRIO actually uses?
See message #3:
When the cRIO now uses a different IP address then you need to change that in the project, too!
