Unable to access network configuration after NI System Configuration Remote Support installation

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to install NI System Configuration Remote support 14.0.0 and NI Web-base Configuration and Monitoring 13.5.0,

But when i do so, I'm not able to configure neither my network device nor time settings on PXI anymore,

NI MAX displays the following messages (translated from french)

• System settings tab: "A problem occured when connecting to thre target system's server"
• Network settings tab: "Network card not found"
• Time settigns tab: "Search for permissions on target"

Does someone knows why this happen and how can I solve this problem ?

My system configuration is:

PC:

• Model: Hewlett-packard elitedesk
• OS: Windows 7
• NI Developper Suite 2014 DS1 (LabVIEW 2013 SP1)
• NI System Configuration 14.0.0 (5.6 delivered with NIDS DS1, but needed this one for currently available NI RAD version).

PXI:

• Chassis: NI PXIe-1082
• Controller: NI PXIe-8108
• OS: Pharlap

The problem might be in your configuration.

There is a forum page discussing similar problem.

Could you solve it by following the described steps?

In my case I can change the IP through NI MAX and visualize the new IP on a screen connected to PXI, changing the PXI IP and the NIC (to correspond to the PXI IP) didn't affect the access to the network configuration, as long as "NI System Configuartion Remote Support 15.3.0" is not installed on the target.

My case evolved since I noticed that leaving the default IP (169.254.x.x  /16) works well, even when changing the "x.x" parts, I can still connect via NI MAX or a browser (i.e in my case).

But once I change the "169.254" parts and updating my NIC, that where I loose the network display and time settings on NI MAX and the browser can't connect to the web server (displaying: "No Route to Host").

How can I change the IP without affecting NI MAX network and settings, and the browser connection ?
