Thanks, Adnan and Charlie.
It looks like I messed something up with the example code if one of them ended up being empty. Sorry about that.
We are going to work on the examples, but in the meantime, I have a couple of questions related to the article at http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7705. For some reason, I didn't see USB-6008 on the list of supported devices. At the same time, I had assurances from a National Instruments engineer some time ago that the 6008 would work with Toshiba e750. Could you please give a definitive answer on this? I just wouldn't want to hit the incompatibility wall after going through the troubleshooting of software issues...
If e750 does work with USB-6008, should we get DAQmx Base 3.2? At this point, we have 3.1..
A related question is whether e750 has actually been tested at NI to work with USB-6008 (or similar, for that matter).
Thank you in advance
Sasha

Sasha,
Do not upgrade to NI-DAQmx Base 3.2 unless you have LabVIEW 8.6. More detailed information, including specific device support per OS, can be found in the ReadMe files for NI-DAQmx Base 3.1 and NI-DAQmx Base 3.2.
As long as your OS and the USB-6008 are listed to work together and your PDA has a USB port, the rest of the hardware is not an issue. The Toshiba e750 was tested with NI-DAQmx 2.0.1; all later versions will work, unless otherwise noted in the ReadMe.

Well, we've messed around with examples and with our own very simple
applications, but still can't get it to work. Our guess is that there
is a
problem with drivers on the PDA, but perhaps we are doing something
incorrectly on the code end. I'll post a couple of examples of our
code, hopefully someone could take a look or try to deploy them on
different hardware..
In the meantime, could someone post a very basic example of an
application (Labview 8.5.1) with an ADC component (Analog Input to
Digital) with output of the data to a screen? We are looking
specifically for examples working on a PDA that use components from "DAQmx
Base-Data Acquisition".
Examples provided with the installation of Labview/PDA module all work fine,
but they lack this ADC conversion functionality (any attempts to modify
them to use USB-6008 have failed).
Thank you in advance for your help. Hopefully, we should be able to
resolve this soon, since it's in principle a fairly basic problem..
Best regards,
Sasha

Good Afternoon Sasha,
The attached image will help you find specific AO examples that use DAQmx Base on a PDA in the NI Example Finder.
