Unable to load DLL in ADE and Runtime

Just stumbled over this issue:

We saw troubles loading DLLs using the Call Library Function Node.

VI which had worked before were showing a broken error, others just reported errors when being run.

We tracked this issue down to the introduction of an application whitelisting software which blocks loading and executing of DLLs depending on certain conditions.

For Call Library Function Node configured to call a DLL directly, the VI would show a broken error, for Call Library Function Node configured to Specify Path On Diagram, the VI show to be executable, but return with an error on run time.

Just as a starting point, if any one should meet similar problems. Having found the cause, the only problem left were the negotiations with IT
