Unable to recognize AMS Max 410 Motor Controller in labview

Hey there,

I'm trying to interface a third party motor controller (Company Name: AMS : Model: MAX 410) with lab view. In spite of physically connecting the device to the computer, the lab view's Max isn't showing the device in the "Devices and Interfaces" section.

When I scanned for instruments, it says "No connected instrument detected". Please let me know how to troubleshoot this issue and also which instrument driver to install for this device.

Detecting "instruments" works only for certain devices, that support the used detection algorithms.

Motor controllers typically aren't considered as "instrument" in this sense…

You need to ask your hardware supplier (or the manufacturer of that motor controller) for LabVIEW support.

Or you read the manual and create your own driver!

Btw. which kind of protocols does your motor controller support? Which one do you want to use?

Best regards,
