Did you mean:

Unable to run 2 or more LabVIEW executables at same time.

Scenario 1. Unable to run 2 or more LabVIEW executables at same time.

Scenario 2. Unable to run LabVIEW and executable created in LabVIEW at the same time.

I am getting the above error when I try to access LabVIEW in the above scenarios.

It happens only with LabVIEW 2009. I tried uninstalling LabVIEW 2009 and reinstalling the same, even then it didnt help.

Does anyone faced this issue before? Any idea why such issue occurs?

Because of this I am unable to use both executable and development environment together, which takes more of my time when accessing separately.

Note: The attachment here is only a sample empty application. This issue happens with any application I develop with LabVIEW 2009.

Thanks for your support,

Arvinth

When I see words like "LabVIEW_dll" in the path name I start to hear sirens. This leads me to believe the issue is with your code, since you can easily run more than one LabVIEW-built executable, and you can run an executable and the development environment at the same time. Unless, of course, you are trying to access a shared resource that is exclusive. You're going to have to provide some more proof beyond a screenshot with an error. You've shown no code that replicates this condition so that others can see what's going on. You also said it "happens only with LabVIEW 2009". Are you referring to having tried this in other versions, or are you referring to you not seeing this in other development environments? I suspect you mean the latter, which doesn't really prove anything.

Hi Knight,

'LabVIEW_dll' is only folder name. Yes, both the scenario's were working till I installed LabVIEW 2009. I am facing these issues from the time I upgraded to 2009 from 8.6. The snapshot shown is empty as it was only an example. There is no code in the application i used for this snapshot, as the issue occurs even on a empty application. I am able to open LV2011 (evaluation) dev. env. and application (devl'd in LV2009) at the same time. The same works good when I open applications one developed in 8.6 and the other in 2009 opened together. But not when both are in 2009. Initially I thought it was some installation problem and I reinstalled LV2009 but it didn't help.

Main thing I forgot to tell is that, my application developed with LV2009 (from my PC) have multi instance option enabled and it is working fine in other PC's when it is run as executables. Others able to open and run multiple instance of the application without any errors.

Please let me know if any more information is needed.

Thanks for your support,

So are you saying that it's only happening on your computer, then?
