Hello everyone
We are using a BASLER A504k camera in association with a frame grabber card in a system with Windows XP (32 bit). The NI MAX driver of LabVIEW-12 is used to set the ROI of our camera. It was running quite fine until recently we encountered an unexpected error (a screenshot is attached). The message is displayed as:
"The niVISAe plug-in caused an exception in the CmxsCfgResourceExpert::SynchronizeToConfiguration function in the nimxs process."
The exception we have encountered in not found in the list of exceptions available at 'ni.com/info'. For reference please visit:
https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019MV8SAM&l=en-US
We are not getting any clue of the error. If anyone has already undergone such type of error or have any idea of the error occurred, we are very much eager to hear to your fruitful suggestions.
Thanking you in advance.
Santanu

Hi Santanu,
I was able to find this forum post from a number of years ago that describes a similar error to the one you are experiencing. As the user ultimately concluded in that thread, this error is probably related to software corruption. Specifically, this is probably a corruption of NI-MAX or your device drivers, but it is hard to know. Try walking through the troubleshooting steps listed in that thread and let's see if that fixes your issue.
Just so you have them on hand when you are reinstalling, here are the compatibility charts for XP, LabVIEW, and VISA:
NI-VISA and LabVIEW Compatibility
Windows and LabVIEW Compatibility

Hi DuncanW
Thanks for your suggestion. I was out of station for some days and could not asses my system. Now I have unstalled the whole LabVIEW package and reinstalled it freshly. The problem is gone now and my NI MAX is working properly.
Best regards
