In my PC, with Developer Suite 7.1, if I create an Installer, setup.exe install the application, and if application is installed, it removes it. The behaviour you're reporting isn't what I see on my PC. I don't know in depth if there're more options when creating the installer that can change this behaviour...

hi
let me put my recent observation.
i have an installer made in LV 8.2.1. I had installed it on a system with XP.
i happened to install it again, without uninstalling it (using Add/Remove Programs).
i still had the installer and could run the application.
i do not think, installing an exisitng application is uninstalling the earlier instal.

Hi all,
In all versions of LabView since 8.2, building an installer creates an installer exe file which gets associated with the Windows Installer once it is included in the Windows list of programs. There is no additional option of 'including' an uninstaller during build. To remove it one needs to go to Add/Remove programs--it is included there with the name that was given to the project during build. Hope this helps.
