Unit label keeps changing position after reopening project/build?

Hi,

I have a control on my front panel and it has units associated with it. The units are under the control and centered. But when I close my project or build it the units move to the right side of the control. I don't know how to fix this and it is very annoying. I am running LabVIEW 2013 V13.0f2 32-bit. I am using system numberic control.

Left side is what I want and the right is what it keeps defaulting to. On Indicators I can move the units underneath and it works fine. Thanks.

I have found it easier to use the Caption for the units display.  I know this doesn't tie the unit to the value but if it is for a visual purpose only, it works fine.

I use units heavily and it makes no sense to me why this wouldn't work. A bug fix would be nice.

I am not seeing this on LV2013 on the Mac.  Can you post a small example which shows the effect along with detailed instructions for reprodcuing it, if necessary?

open the vi

move the label below the control

close the vi

open the vi

the units label is back in the original spot.

This doesn't happen with system indicators. I am not sure if this only happens with the system controls and silver as well.

Moving the label and then building doesn't work either otherwise I would just do that when the time came to build.

I don't know if a Mac will have the same issue but that doesn't help me because I am using a windows PC.

Thanks!

Do you save the VI after moving the unit label?  If you close without saving, you lose the change.

Yes I do save it.

It is reproduceable.  Even tried making it a typedef. Typedef stays in the place you want but not in the vi.

Any particular reason you have to use a System control?  It appears to be isolated to this group.  The Modern and Classic controls will allow the units to stay where you position them and they will function the same.  Only visible difference is the increment / deincrement buttons are on the opposite side.
