Check to see what kind of controls you are using and see what kind they got upgraded to. If you are using dialog controls you can not change the background color. Any easy test is to see if you can manually chang ethe color once you have upgraded the code.
If you can not manually cnahge the colors, then you will need to replace the controls with non-dialog controls to get the program to work.
