Urgent! Stuck in execution mode (ver. 6.0)

I was testing out the VI properties and selected "Run when Opened" as well as "Auto Handling of Menus when launched". It worked, but now it's not allowing me to get back to Edit mode. All options and menus are disabled. I can't get out of Execution mode.

I'm running Labview 6.0i (yeah, i know. It's old!), on WinXP

Thanks,

Vince

Opena new VI, then place the offending VI on the diagram. Double-click its icon and it will open not running.

No, its a feature! 🙂

Just don't disable things until everything is fully debugged. 😉

Holding control and pushing the period (.) key will also stop a running VI and place it in Edit mode.

It is easily possible to place a VI in a mode where "ctrl+." will not work, for example if you customize the menus.

Create a custom menu and remove the "operate...stop" entry. Now try to stop it as described! No go! 😮
