Usage limitations of example VIs

Hi,

I was wondering what that usage limitations on the example VIs from NI.com are. Can I use them in a program I am planning to write? The program I am writing is for a non-commerical use by students in an educational institution and I am not planning to modify the VI in my program at all... is this allowed?

Thanks,
Thurston

Hello Thurston,

The example vi's on ni.com are free to download.

You can modify and use them as your requirement demands

There are no restrictions on that ( atleast not any, that I am aware of)

Hopefully someone from NI will post a reply, but from my understanding the examples that ship with LabVIEW and available on the website are free for use for commercial and non-commercial programs. In fact, they are often recommended, as many of them are indeed the best known methods. I know that without the examples and with the help from this forum, very few of my programs would ever have worked! smileywink:

Good luck!

The example programs in the Example Finder and on the website are not only allowed for use in commercial and non-commercial applications, they are intended for use in them!  We want our customers to be as productive as possible, and example code has a direct impact on that goal.
