Hello,
I'm trying to configure DAQmx with DAQ asssitant in a cRIO 9045 which I don't have connection to it yet, but I can't.
I know I can add a simulated cRIO to a labview project and add serie C modules under the "Real-Time Resources" tag to be used as DAQmx resources, but then there aren't any physical channels under these simulated modules (also I can't configure the module properties, they are like only aesthetical. I can only change their name). As there isn't any phyisical channel, the DAQ assistant do not detect any input to configure, so I'm in a dead end.
Also, I can simulate DAQ chassis in NI MAX but I can't simulate a cRIO under "Remote Systems".
I'm doing something wrong? How can I configure DAQmx for non-existant cRIO & serie C modules?
Best regards,
EMCCi

Hi.
Can you check if you have "NI CompactRIO and Drivers" installed from the NI Package Manager?
Cheers

Yes, I havethem.
When I have the cRIO connected everything works good. But I can't have simulated physical channels if the cRIO isn't connected.

Ok so, if I'm understanding correctly, you are trying to simulate a cRIO under "remote systems" just as you would simulate a DAQ chassis. It's not that you're doing something wrong, it's just that you can't simulate a cRIO in NI MAX. The problem in this case is that you're trying to treat the cRIO as a cDAQ, but they are two completely different things.
Let me know if this answers your question, or if I misunderstood what you were trying to say.

Yes, that's what I was trying to do.
The point is that new cRIO support DAQmx (as cDAQ), but if you want to use DAQmx in a simulated cRIO (simulated in LV project) you can't simulate the physical channels to set up the DAQmx nodes.
