Using ADS1x98ECG FE with TMS320C5515 with Labview and Arduino

I've recently posted about an issue with booting the ECG firmware but we've since resolved the issue, now we are moving on to the next phase, trying to integrate with Labview.

We're not really sure what our options are currently, except that in a previous year a group saved the ECG file as an excel file then loaded the information periodically but we're looking for a real time waveform to input to labview, We tried to load the C code into a compiler than was not CCS4.1 but compilation stops with an error saying a #DEVICE is expected. We understand this error because CCS connects to the target before loading the program. Any time we try to edit the script, it asks to save with project but will open an unedited version of the code file and give the same error.

We're also planning on using an Arduino UNO Rev 3, if that helps any.

Thank you

Hi  tbz709

I do not completly understand what your question is. I understand you are trying to communicate 2 applications, one in C, one in LabVIEW, you should be able to make calls to C code from LabVIEW and easily communicate the data between those 2, if you want the communication to be done directly and not throug a file.

Could you please be more specific with the question that you have for us?

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for how vague my question was. I will not be needing any assistance on this issue, we changed course

The issue we were having was that the program for the National Instruments board needed a C Code to initialize it every time. So we were trying to find a way to have labview do it for us but the code is actually wrote in a way that it can not be initialized without the use of Code Compser Studio. So we ditched it and are now independantly designing an ECG simulation through LabVIEW. The project took bit of a hit but we decided it was okay with us because we're still going to demonstrate the main concept of the project.

Thanks anyway!
