Is this going to control that equipment with hardware in future, or is this just a simulation project? typically, this logic is implemented in a industrial PLC
Software-based control on Windows OS has its own limitations and is not recommended for use in critical equipment control, where a failure in the control system can cause damage.

If a wire has no source, it means it is not connected to a control or other data source, such as the output of a function or subVI. If there is no data source there is no value or even known datatype and the compiler can't just pull something out of thin air.
It seems you try to make a comparison with a boolean wire, so most likely you need another boolean value for comparison. You need to decide where that value should come from. You cannot compare a green wire with nothing!
