Using Grab and Save to AVI and background subtraction to recognize a human's shape.

We are new to LabView and were are aquiring a video and we found on the forum a subtracting background vi but don't understand how to connect the two. Is there anyone out there willing to help us?

HRI2006,

I am not sure I understand you correctly.  Below is what I think your question is...

You have two VIs you would like to be run in the same VI (one VI that grabs and image and another VI that extract the outline of a human from the background).

If you answer the following questions I can do my best to help you out.

What do you not understand about each VI?
What are the names of the VIs you are confused about (you can press CTRL-H and hover over the VIs in the block diagram to get their names)?
Are these VIs part of the NI-IMAQ driver of IMAQ Vision 8.0?

Any extra information you can provide me will me help you.
