Hi,
I am using using several VI's that were written using LABVIEW 6.1. The VI's and Labview 6.1 are installed on an old Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop equipped with Windows XP. The laptop is connected to a NI SCXI-1000 Chasis. I would like to use the VI's on a new laptop equipped with Windows 7. Can I run the existing VI's and LABVIEW 6.1 on the new laptop with Windows 7?
If I want to use the exisiting software with the NI 6062E DAQCARD connected to a SCXI -1000 Chasis, what type of slots do I need on the new laptop?.PCMCIA?

Neither LabVIEW 6.1 or the traditional DAQ driver is supported under windows 7.

Dennis
Is there a trick to install LabVIEW 6.1 under W7? I tried and got, "Failed to initialize installer. Error 110." I'd like to support old apps on my new machine, even if NI doesn't support the product any more.

Seems to work. Thanks. Took some time to get the virtual machine installed and configured though.
