Using MAX to connect to the cRIO through 3G modem with PPTP VPN

Hi

We just got PPTP working on one of our 3G modems and managed to connect to the cRIO remotely. Currently we can use ftp software or LabVIEW to talk to the cRIO, but not sure how to do it through the MAX. Tried "adding remote devices/field point/VISA", but none of them worked. I can't find the place I can put in the modem's IP address like in LabVIEW or FTP software, as if the automatic searching can't find it, everything will be greyed out in the setup page. Anyone knows about it, or has any suggestion. Thanks a lot.

Hi Marco,

You should be able to right click on Remote Systems in MAX and select Create New... » Remote Device (not on the local subnet) and then specify the IP Address of the cRIO.  I hope this helps!
