Using a CB-68LPR scew pin connector with a pci 6221 DAQ board in labview with the DAQmx base software and are haveing trouble with a high "ground"

Hello and thank you in advance,

The problem I seem to be having is that with the CB-68LP connector and the pci 6221 board the

voltages are unable to run higher than 10 volts.

This does not seem to be a problem when the system run normally, but as of lately that is not the case.

Recently the ground voltage (i.e. the voltage with no signal input) has a steady climb that eventually exceeds 10 volts.

The tops of the signals appear cut off in the Labview program and the climbing ground can be reset by changing

channels but continues to climb.

Thankyou

Stephen

I'm confused by your question. The max input voltage of the 6221 is +/- 10 volt so you will not be able to measure anything greater. Also, you mention a ground voltage as a no input signal. A no connection is not detected as 0V and would be expected to gradually increase. See this.

Thank you,

You may have been confused by the question but that did not stop you from answering it.

The link is a great source of starter information for someone taking on this sort of problem.

Thanks again,
