VI Data open in newest Labview version

Hi together,

I have an old VI Data, created with Labview 2012, is there anyway to use it on the latetest Labview Version?

I tried it with the Test Version and it was not able to open it due the Dataformat.

VI Data is attached.

Good morning, Lambert.

There is no attachment!  Note that some file-types might be "rejected" as attachments because they might be a virus or something else bad.  What is the full filename of the file you wished to (or, perhaps, forgot to) attach?  We might have suggestions just based on its name ...

Can you share the code that creates the data file? We don't even need the full code, just the part that saves the data to the file. This information would be the most beneficial to helping us help you.

LV2012 opens in the latest LabVIEW, but you can't open it in TestStand, if that's what you're trying to say. The newest TestStand you can use with LV2012 is TestStand 2017.

Dear all,

to be honest I´m not an Labview expert and I don´t wrote the Labview VI Data, we use it on an injection machine to see Injection Pressure etc. and the machine supplier create it.

Our Labview Version 2012 works well all the years, but with updating Desktop PC to Windows 11 , the Labview 2012 works not anymore.

We tried to Test the New Version as a Test Licence to see if we could open our old VI Data File, but that doesn´t work.

So it seems that we have to write a New VI DATA which is compatible with the newest Labview Version.

But what is with the Labvie/National Instruments Hardware still on the machine is these working again ?

you again forgot to attach any files.

And you forgot to provide information on your test bench hardware...

In addition to what was already said by others, your use of VI Data file is rather ambiguous. If you mean an actual VI itself, there is absolutely no reason that LabVIEW 2023 or even 2025 would not be able to read your 2012 VI, unless that file is somehow badly corrupted.

If you mean a data file created in your application, then we can do absolutely nothing for you without access to the actual VI that creates (and reads) that data file and an example of said data file. Since you have so far consistently failed to provide any of these, all we can do is keeping to ask for them.
