VI file from 3rd party vendor (pleora) doesn't open

Hello,

I received a vi from Pleora, and it doesn't open.
I am using Labview 7.1, and I believe the file was saved using version 7.0.
The file is enclosed.
I'll be happy if anyone can help me.

Thanks,
Nitzan

You didn't attach your VI.

What error message do you get?
VIs from LV 7.0 will open in LV 7.1 without any problem. They will be converted automatically. The only way to prevent this is to store the VI without block diagram. In this case you can open the VI only in the exact same version. Even a LV 7.1 to LV 7.1.1 conversion won't work.

You need the VI with block diagram. If Pleora concerns about the code it can protect it with a password before deploying the VI. If they use a 12 or more random character string even a brute force attack will not succed until the VI is outdated.
