Well, Bill, don't beat yourself up too much. Re-reading my post, I can see that I should have more verbosely said, "I do not know why @matys's application includes a VI that shows itself [when loaded] (and is apparently not the top-level VI)". That is of course what I meant by that, and I can now see how that might have been confusing. You would naturally have as you suggested many subVIs in a project that "show themselves" when called.
