VIPM shows installed packages that are not.

Hi,

I had installed the JKI State machine some time ago for a project on LV2020. But after a full re-installation of my Labview suite, it is naturally not installed anymore.

In VIPM I tried to install it, but wrongly selected LV2019 instead of 2020 (I'm working on both versions for different projects).

Thing is, it does show installed for 2020 as well. However it does not appear in my environment...

I've tried un-installing it, but I get a timeout error.

Any VIPM gurus out there that could help me? Weirdly enough, I couldn't find any support page on their website ...

Thank you in advance.

Hi Vinny,

Maybe your connections to LabVIEW are not configured properly in VIPM.

Go to Options -> LabVIEW and check that your LabVIEW 2020 has a verified connection with a valid Port (usually 3365 or more).
The timeout can also be increased if your machine is a bit slow:

Also, each LabVIEW version must be configured with a unique port number (Go to your LabVIEW options):

Make sure to restart your LabVIEW after changing the port number.

Hi Raph,

I actually did after posting my message, and the connection is verified ...

What I'm thinking is, because I had it installed before, there are still some registry entries or something somewhere that VIPM detects. But since it is not installed, it doesn't find any files to uninstall. That doesn't explain why there is no connection made with 2020 while trying to uninstall the package though.

Have you tried launching VIPM with admin rights ? Sometimes that helps.

That's actually my default start-up.

Have you tried switching it off and on again?

Ok so I've re-started my computer and I was able to un-install it without issues.

I was also able to re-install it without issues ..... Except that it still doesn't show up.

When Starting VIPM, I had this error box though, not sure if that matters and how to fix it.
