VISA read waits for full timeout

Nothing special in NISpy, just "viRead"s that take 10 seconds to complete.

I don't have a regular port on the other PC, but i tried with a different USB-serial converter and it works fine!!!

So the bastard is the converter. I thought NI serial drivers were low level, but apparently they let the OS do (or not do...) even the job of checking the termination character.

The mess is not in the NI serial drivers nor the OS (strictly speaking): problem arises most probably from the USB device drivers.
