VIs callers

I opened a VI in LabVIEW and I want to find out which VI's call this VI. When I go to VIEW - Browse Relationships I find this VIs callers sub-menu is dimmed. Why? What's the solution?
Thanks for helping!

May be there is a possibility that no vi is calling your vi.

Or attach your that particular vi. we will find the problem.

Thanks,

Mathan

Hi rashid,

you can only see the callers, if they are in memory.

Thanks MikeS81! I think you are right. Since that was the only vi loaded in memory so that's why LabVIEW could not find its callers.

Hi Rashid,
one solution would be to open all VIs at once that are suspected to be the caller, then you can search your VI with the search window. Or you drag them all into a blank VI's block diagram.
Another solution is to use VI Server, as sketched in the attached VI.
Hope this helps,

Thanks daveTW! Both solutions are great. The VI you shared is for LabVIEW version 8.5. I am using version 8.2 at the office. However I've got 8.5 installed at home. I'll check out your vi later at night. Thanks for sharing!
