VXI Driver soon obsolete?

Hello all,

One of my colleagues got a mail from NI-UK that the VXI based products will be soon obsolete. i'm adding the text from NI employees's mail below.

"Additionally, why is your company still using VXI?

It’s going obsolete, please forward that to whomever is in Engineering who works with VXI as this will ultimately cause massive issues very soon."

Is the above information true or not?

The information your colleague was given is correct. If you have a look at the NI website on VXI products you will see that they are either obsolete or 'not recommended for new designs', when you see that message it's a clear indication NI do not plan to support it going forwards. From my experience, you have about 2 to 3 years before it comes 'off the shelves'.
