VeriStand Custom device using labview

Hi all,

Iam working on a Hardware in the loop simulation project using veristand, I need to make a custom device using labview for RS232 serial communication where i will send and receive data between a cRIO-9068 and another controller.

i read many tutorials about custom device but i cant figure how to make RS232 custom device , its really confusing me.

if any one have worked on something like this or have anything related to this topic that will be very helpful.
