I always thought that a CLA supersedes CLD and it would not make sense for a CLA to also list CLD.
Having a CLD is a prerequisite to even take the CLA exam.
(Well, I am not only an admiral, I am also a petty officer! 🐵

8+ years ago I got my CLA. I had my CLD 2 years before that. It was just after my first CLA Summit (in 2012) that I decided to start getting involved on the forums. So you are thinking of somebody else.

Better give him the Requirements of one of your organization Project, ask him to derive an architecture for the same and find whether he is capable or not.

Precisely what I intend to do. And even if he makes a few errors, my full regards to the youngster who got his CLA while doing undergrad course. Certainly outstanding!
