Very funny construction in NI example vi

The vi is called "Autoscale Polar as Needed.vi" and you can find it after you drop Polar Plot control.
I enclose the part of the vi. The comparision vi send 5.00 what every the input is :).

that part of the vi can be simplified, but is only called when you ask for a negative max with log scaling or a min that is bigger than max !
If you have nice positive values with max>min a real result will come out.
