Vi crash : developed with LV7.1 passed under LV8.6 with vision 8.6

I've got a big big problem: my application has got a subVi that, after installation of LV8.6 and Vision 8.6, i cannot save and reopen it.

When i try to reopen it crashes LV. It uses Vision library and i cannot reopen if i try to save it. Until i save it all seems normal.

Any idea?

thanks

Stev

Hi,

I would like to ask you further information: what LV version is your subVI? What exactly happens when LV crashes: it closes or you have to stop it with task manager or...? Do you obtain any error code or log file which you could post?

So you open the file, you work with it, save it in LV 8.6, close it and then you can't open it, right? Have you another PC with LV where you are able to open the file?

Maybe, if it's not a problem, you can post the VI to see if I'm able to open it...

Bye.

Ciao Licia,

yes, it's works exactly as you have written: i work with VI, and i can do anything with it, add subvis change edit and anything else. When i save it, because it ask me to save even if i do nothing (?!?), when i reopen it or a main vi that contains this subvi labview crashes. I've got two pcs, on the older one i have all my work made and develloped in a long time, with Lv7.1.1 and Vision 8.0 and VisionAcquisition 8.2. On the new system i translated to 8.5 and Vision 8.5, and all was working well, until i installed Lv8.6 and i tried to install Vision 8.6 (since i discovered to not have the rights to use it). Now, even if i use Lv8.5 and i save this subvi, Lv crashes, no error message, only the request to send error to microsoft.

Now i can try to add the whole subVi, no problem, but there are really a lot of little routines.... but i try...if you missi something please tell me...

I included version 7.1.1, try to pass to 8.5 and see if you have got the problem... than to 8.6...

Thankyou for everything

bye

Stev
