Vi for recording sound/wav?

does anyone know if there are vi's available for recording sound (via microphone) as wav files? I know the examples have vi's for playing wav.

In the full development system under sound you find snd write waveform and snd read waveform.
That is all you need, and ofcourse a soundcard
at least lv 5.1
